The Great Victory!

Well-known truth: fights go on fronts, but victory is forged in the rear. It was here, in the southeast of the former Soviet Union, during the years of the Great Patriotic War, much-needed armies aircraft and tanks, small arms, artillery pieces and ammunition were produced at plants and factories converted to defence enterprises.

During those years, evacuation hospitals unfolded in Turkmenistan, where wounded soldiers improved their health, refugees arrived here, forced to leave territories occupied by the enemy.

We don’t know many names and surnames of ordinary rear workers, who had their own front and their own advanced.

But kneeling before the courage and heroism of the soldiers of the Great Patriotic War, one cannot help but bow to the feat of the great army of unknown people - workers, collective farmers, doctors, teachers, housewives, even children whose dedication, patience and unity brought closer the coveted Victory!
