The Permanent Representatives to the UN of the countries of Central Asia and Japan held a working meeting
During the meeting, the Ambassador of Japan, Mr. Ishikane Kimihiro, briefly informed about the activities of Japan as a member of the UN Security Council, in particular, highlighting the Council's work on strengthening regional security.
The Permanent Representatives of the Central Asian countries touched upon the cooperation between the countries of the region and Japan at the UN, as well as in the “Central Asia-Japan” format in the light of the implementation of the agreements reached following the ministerial dialogue in Tokyo on December 24, 2022.
In addition, attention was paid to improving the efficiency of the work of the UN agencies operating in the region and neighboring countries, in particular the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA).
