Turkmenistan and Brazil discussed issues of economic cooperation
On July 5, 2017, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan there was a meeting with the delegation led by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federative Republic of Brazil in Turkmenistan (with residence in Astana) Demetrio Bueno Carvalho, who arrived in Ashgabat to take part in a round table with the participation of the representatives of Brazilian companies.
During the conversation, the sides noted with satisfaction the positive dynamics of the development of the relations between the two countries. Particular attention was paid to the development of trade and economic ties. Noting the interest of Brazilian companies in establishing contacts with Turkmen entrepreneurs, the Ambassador of Brazil noted the fruitful outcome of the round table with the participation of the representatives of Brazilian companies.
In this regard, the Brazilian side put forward a number of proposals for further deepening economic cooperation. Among the promising areas for further cooperation were areas of agriculture, transport and communications. The parties also noted the interest in developing relations in the spheres of education, sports and tourism.
Within the framework of the meeting, the sides exchanged views on topical issues on the international agenda. Discussing the current state of political and diplomatic cooperation, the sides noted the positive outcome of joint work within the framework of international organizations.
