THE AMBASSADOR OF TURKMENISTAN MET WITH THE NEWLY APPOINTED DIRECTOR GENERAL OF UNIDO

On May 26, 2022, the Permanent Representative of Turkmenistan to the UN Office at Vienna met with the newly appointed Director General of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization, Mr. Gerd Müller.

During the meeting, issues on the agenda of bilateral cooperation with the Organization were touched upon, in particular, ongoing and new projects, joint activities in the field of hydrogen energy.

Mr. Gerd Muller noted that UNIDO attaches great importance to relations with Turkmenistan, noting the importance of strengthening cooperation in interested areas.

The Director General was informed about the major economic projects initiated by Turkmenistan, and the priorities of our country. In the context of Turkmenistan's cooperation with UNIDO, it was noted that Turkmenistan pays special attention to strengthening cooperation in green initiatives to achieve the SDGs within the competence of this organization.
