THE DELEGATION OF TURKMENISTAN TOOK PART IN THE MEETING OF SENIOR OFFICIALS OF "CENTRAL ASIA-JAPAN" DIALOGUE

On October 20, 2022, at the initiative of the Japanese side, the 15th Meeting of senior officials of “Central Asia - Japan” Dialogue was held in Astana in a hybrid format, in which the delegation of Turkmenistan headed by Deputy Foreign Minister V.Hajiyev took part.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the agenda, concept and program of the upcoming 9th Conference of Foreign Ministers (CMFA) of the Dialogue "Central Asia - Japan", which is scheduled for December this year in Tokyo.

The parties discussed current areas of cooperation within the framework of the dialogue platform, including exchanged views on issues of the regional and international agenda.

The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan in his speech stressed the need to further deepen practical cooperation with the countries participating in the Dialogue through the implementation of specific projects of regional importance.

Representatives of the countries participating in the meeting outlined topical issues of cooperation in their speeches, as well as put forward proposals for further expanding the partnership.
