THE TURKMEN DELEGATION PARTICIPATED IN THE 3RD MEETING OF THE "CENTRAL ASIA - REPUBLIC OF KOREA" BUSINESS COUNCIL

On October 26, 2022, in Busan, Republic of Korea, the delegation of Turkmenistan led by D. Hudayberdiev, the head of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, participated in the 3rd meeting of the Business Council of the "Central Asia - Republic of Korea" format.

The meeting was also attended by leaders and representatives of the Korea International Trade Association (KITA), Korea Importers Association (KOIMA), as well as of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.

In accordance with the agenda of the meeting, the issues of e-commerce, transition to the digital system, introduction of Korean high-tech inventions into the trade system were discussed in order to further develop the trade and economic relations between the Central Asian countries and the Republic of Korea.

New ways of cooperation to increase the volume of trade between the Republic of Korea and Central Asian countries were also discussed. In addition, the report on the results of the 2nd meeting of the Council was heard.

During the visit of the delegation of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Korea, several bilateral meetings were held. In particular, meetings were held with leaders of the country's leading companies such as Hyundai Corporation, Hyundai Engineering, Daewoo E&C, GS Engineering & Construction, Korea Foundation, as well as the Korea International Trade Association (KITA) and Korea Importers Association (KOIMA).

During the meetings, ideas were exchanged on the projects implemented by these companies in Turkmenistan and areas of interest for expanding cooperation in the future.
