Dialogue between Turkmenistan and Latin American countries is expanding

During March 2023, a number of meetings were held at the Permanent Mission of Turkmenistan to the UN with the Ambassadors of Latin American countries.

In particular, on March 2, Ambassador Aksoltan Ataeva, Permanent Representative of Turkmenistan to the UN met with Carolyn Allison Rodrigues-Birkett, Permanent Representative of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana to the UN.

During the meeting, a constructive exchange of views took place on bilateral cooperation between Turkmenistan and Guyana.

On the same day, a meeting was held with José A. Blanco Conde, Permanent Representative of the Dominican Republic to the UN.

The parties discussed the prospects for bilateral cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Dominican Republic, especially in the field of tourism.

In particular, the Ambassador of the Dominican Republic noted that on February 20, 2023, the Ambassador of the Dominican Republic was accredited in Turkmenistan.

During the abovementioned meetings, options for mutual support in elections to various UN structures were also considered.
