NEGOTIATIONS WITH REPRESENTATIVES OF COMMERZBANK AG OF GERMANY

On April 23, 2020, the State Bank for Foreign Economic Activities of Turkmenistan held video conference negotiations with representatives of Commerzbank AG of the Federal Republic of Germany.

During the negotiations, the parties noted the effectiveness of cooperation between Turkmenistan and Commerzbank AG and discussed the key aspects of сollaboration. The issues of financing projects, implemented in Turkmenistan with the participation of German companies, were raised.

The parties spoke about the positive transformations in the financial-banking sector of Turkmenistan and the significance of digitalization in this field, taking into consideration the international norms and involvement of the best international practices.

Noting the important role of the Turkmen-German Intergovernmental Working Group on Economics in the context of further promotion of joint projects, the German side reaffirmed its support for the economic policy of Turkmenistan, as well as its readiness to further develop a mutually beneficial partnership.
