A WORKING MEETING ON DRAWING UP THE NATIONAL PLAN OF TURKMENISTAN ON PREVENTING THE SPREAD OF ESPECIALLY DANGEROUS INFECTIOUS DISEASES WAS HELD IN THE MINISTRY OF HEALTH AND MEDICAL INDUSTRY

On April 21, 2020, a working meeting was held in the building of the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan on drawing up the National Plan of Turkmenistan on preventing the spread of especially dangerous infectious diseases.

The meeting was attended by deputy heads of several ministries and departments of the country, representatives of the Office of the UN Resident Coordinator in Turkmenistan, and the WHO Representative Office in Turkmenistan.

During the meeting, the participants exchanged views on preventive measures to combat the spread of infectious diseases, strengthening the material and technical base.

It was noted that under the leadership of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, in accordance with the recommendations of the World Health Organization and taking into consideration the national legislation of Turkmenistan, all the necessary measures on prevention dangerous infectious diseases are being implemented in the country. The role of the Extraordinary Commission on combatting the spread of diseases was also noted.
