NEW CONSUL GENERAL OF AFGHANISTAN IN MARY AWARDED CONSULAR EXEQUATUR

On March 18, 2021, in the premises of the MFA of Turkmenistan, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov held a meeting with the new Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Mary city Nuriddin Rahmani.

At the beginning of the meeting Consul General of Afghanistan presented his consular patent. In turn, he was awarded consular exequatur by the MFA of Turkmenistan.

The parties considered the current state and perspectives of the development of friendly Turkmen-Afghan relations. It was stated the high level of trust and understanding between the Leadership and the peoples of two friendly countries.

The commitment of the parties to build up the potential of bilateral cooperation in the spheres of transport, communications, and energy was expressed.

The Consul General Nuriddin Rahmani assured that in the new post he intends to fully contribute to strengthening and developing traditional relations of friendship and cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.
