KEY VECTORS OF TURKMEN-KYRGYZ RELATIONS DISCUSSED DURING THE TALK OF THE HEADS OF TWO STATES

On May 13, 2021, a telephone conversation was held between the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov.
The Presidents exchanged congratulatory words on the occasion of Oraza Bayramy by wishing wellbeing and prosperity to Turkmen and Kyrgyz people.
During the conversation, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov congratulated his colleague with the successful completion of the referendum and adoption of the new Constitution, as well as noted that the Fundamental Law will serve as a firm basis for further development of Kyrgyzstan and will contribute to the implementation of large scale reforms aimed at the betterment of the wellbeing of Kyrgyz people.
The Head of Turkmenistan stated that currently the constructive relations based on the principles of good neighborhood and mutual respect gain new dynamic and progressive nature. It was noted that the ties between the two countries have attained a qualitatively new level of cooperation, including the political, trade-economic, and cultural-humanitarian dimensions.
The interlocutors also exchanged views on key issues of regional and international affairs. The commitment of the two countries to constructive collaboration in the framework of respected organizations, primarily the UN, CIS, and others was confirmed.
Presidents Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Sadyr Japarov underlined the importance of expanding the partnership in the humanitarian sphere, in particular on activating the scientific-educational contacts and cultural dialogue.
At the end of the telephone conversation, the parties once again congratulated each other with the Oraza Bayramy, sacred for all Muslims and addressed to the people of two countries – peace, progress, and prosperity.
