DELEGATION OF TURKMENISTAN PARTICIPATED IN THE 41ST SESSION OF THE ICAO ASSEMBLY

The Permanent Representative of Turkmenistan to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) M.Orazov participated in the 41st Session of the ICAO Assembly, which takes place in Montreal, Canada, from September 27 to October 7, 2022.

During the sessions member states and representatives from international organizations discussed the ICAO's priorities, supporting the increased sustainability and digitalization of 21st century air transport.

The Government of Turkmenistan supports the close cooperation with ICAO in the framework of the National Program of Development of Civil Aviation of Turkmenistan for 2012-2030. Turkmenistan in close cooperation with ICAO prioritizes the highest possible standards for national as well as international aviation, and make air transportation safer and more secure.

Turkmenistan attaches great importance in ensuring sustainable development of transport at the international level. In this context, mention should be made of the UN General Assembly resolutions "On the establishment of transit transport corridors", "The role of transport and transit corridors in ensuring international cooperation for sustainable development", "Strengthening links between all modes of transport to ensure stable and reliable international transport for sustainable development during and after the pandemic coronavirus disease (COVID-19)" initiated by Turkmenistan.
